FAQ Induction Cooktop (Electric)
BOOSTER FUNCTION ON HÄFELE INDUCTION HOBS
– What It Is, How It Works, Pros & Precautions –
1. What is the Booster Function?
The Booster is a power-enhancing mode that temporarily increases the cooking zone’s output beyond its normal maximum power, allowing food to heat up or boil 1.5 to 2 times faster than the highest regular setting.
For example, a cooking zone with 2,000W power can boost to 3,000W or more, depending on the model.
2. How Does Booster Work?
When the Booster button is activated, the hob may temporarily "borrow" power from another cooking zone (especially on double or triple-zone cooktops).
This concentrates maximum energy on one zone for 5–10 minutes, after which the power returns to its standard maximum to avoid overheating or electrical overload.
3. When Should You Use Booster?
To boil water quickly.
For fast stir-frying or soup preparation.
When you want to preheat a pan before reducing to lower levels for simmering.
4. Precautions When Using Booster:
Do not use Booster for extended periods or continuously – it can cause overheating or shorten the hob''s lifespan.
Avoid using thin or low-quality cookware, such as enamel-coated pans with thin bottoms, to prevent scorching or damage.
Do not activate Booster on one zone while another zone is running at high power, as this may cause power overload.
