NOTES WHEN USING THE DISHWASHER FOR OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY

The dishwasher is a convenient household appliance that helps save time and effort in washing dishes. However, to ensure effective and durable operation, please keep in mind the following points:

1. What does the dishwasher need to work effectively?

Specialized detergent: Use dishwasher-specific detergents to ensure cleaning effectiveness and protect the machine. For example: Finish, etc. Avoid using hand dishwashing liquid as it may damage the machine.

Water softening salt: If the water in your area is hard, use dishwasher salt to prevent limescale buildup in the machine. Example: Finish Dishwasher Salt.

Rinse aid: Use rinse aid to help dishes dry faster and avoid water spots. Example: Finish Rinse Aid.

2. Product drying function:

Proper arrangement: To ensure effective drying, arrange dishes so that the hot air flow is not obstructed. Place dishes at an angle to allow water to drain easily.

Select the appropriate drying mode: Some dishwashers have various drying modes. Choose the one that suits the type of dishes and their level of dirt.

Open the door after washing: After the washing cycle is complete, open the machine door to let the steam escape, helping dishes dry faster and avoiding unpleasant odors.

3. Water retention in the machine after washing:

Normal phenomenon: Water remaining on the walls of the machine after washing is normal. This does not affect the machine’s performance.

Regular drying: To keep the machine clean and avoid odors, regularly wipe dry the walls and internal parts.

4. Arranging dishes in the dishwasher:

Lower rack:

Plates and pots: Place large plates and pots on the lower rack. Plates should be placed upright and not stacked to allow even water contact.

Pots and pans: Place pots and pans upside down so water can drain easily. If they have long handles, make sure they don’t block the spray arms.

Upper rack:

Cups and glasses: Place cups and glasses upside down on the upper rack. Ensure they do not touch each other to avoid breakage and to allow even water contact.

Small bowls and plastics: Place small bowls and plastic items on the upper rack to avoid deformation from the higher heat on the lower rack.

Cutlery basket:

Cutlery: Place cutlery in the basket with handles facing up to avoid injury when removing. Make sure the items do not touch each other so water can reach all surfaces.

Some additional arrangement tips:

No stacking: Avoid stacking dishes to ensure water and detergent can reach all surfaces evenly.

Do not block the spray arms: Ensure no items obstruct the spray arms so water can circulate throughout the machine.

Place items at an angle: Tilt dishes slightly so water can drain easily and prevent water pooling.

Check before starting: Before starting the machine, check to ensure nothing obstructs the spray arms and all items are properly arranged.

5. Other notes:

Regular cleaning: Clean the filter and internal components regularly to maintain effective and durable performance.

Inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect machine parts and schedule maintenance to detect and promptly resolve any issues.

We hope the above notes help you use your dishwasher more efficiently and durably. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact Häfele’s hotline at 18001797 😊
